Listmania: Pitchfork's Top 50 Singles of 2004

This week the folks at Pitchfork Media posted their take on the top 50 singles of 2004. This playlist includes all of the songs on the list that are available in Rhapsody, 26 in all. Sadly, until Merge decides to offer its music beyond iTunes, there is no Arcade Fire in Rhapsody. Still a solid list, though -- enjoy!

(Thanks to my friend Anu for sending this list.)

OMG. I cannot believe that they gave #3 to Britney Speats' "Toxic!" I think all of my faith in my favorite review site has now been lost. Goodbye, my beloved Pitchfork. May you burn in hell.

and 19th Place, and 50th place... seriously, it looks like it dummy copy was put in place for the # where the song was in the top 50 and then never replaced.
